![]() Hopefully this one is better. No matter what i will not switch back to sposie pads. I love my soft pretty mama pads.

I
MC! It's so nice....no leaks, no adhesive to catch sensitive hairs, no awful smells....ahh. It's not hard to care for either, personally I find that it's way nicer to wash pads than to have to empty a stinky trash bag full of bloody garbage.

Re: ~Mama Cloth~ Testimonial Thread
I love mama cloth! They are so much more comfortable and nice and squishy soft not to mention pretty! My period went from 7-8 days down to 4-5 by switching to cloth. I love saving money and there is no yucky smell like when you use disposibles either!

Re: ~Mama Cloth~ Testimonial Thread
I'm in the process of sewing up some pantiliners... I don't need pads just yet as this Mirena (plus nursing) makes my periods so light I just need pantiliners.
But I have a question! One of the reasons I'm on Mirena is cause my periods are usually VERY heavy and VERY crampy- painful painful painful bloody misery! Now, I've ALWAYS used tampons. And sometimes a pad at night. I'm wondering now, with all these testimonies of shorter periods- if using a mama cloth would've helped? Does anyone know why/how the mama cloth makes the flow less and lessens the cramping? I'd love any insight- thanks

Re: ~Mama Cloth~ Testimonial Thread
I personally think that it doesn't necessarily get "lighter" but there is less flow on the pad. Possibly TMI
but I find that when I go to the bathroom it pours out now and then I end up with very little between bathroom visits on the actual mama cloth compared to when I used sposies and it was a constant flow coming out as they say the paper/plastic/chemicals draw it out of you. I much prefer it now as it seems to be more effective and makes my period shorter. A diva cup would probably be a good choice for tampon users.

Re: ~Mama Cloth~ Testimonial Thread
My testimonial:
Cloth pads are wonderful. They make those few days out of every month a pleasant experience. From the time I started my period I hated disposable pads. They were stinky, sticky, uncomfortable, and embarrassing. I stopped using them when I got grown and switched to tampons. I started using cloth pads a year ago. They are so comfortable. There is no stinky smell. There are no leaks and embarrassing accidents. There is no disgusting trash. There are no chemicals next to/inside that very sensitive part of your body. My periods are a lot lighter and a day or so shorter. (I do not have cramps, but I stopped having cramps when I started hormonal birth control right before I got married. I stopped taking hormonal BC years ago but the cramps never returned.) Cloth pads will help your period lighten and shorten because you are no longer exposing yourself to harmful chemicals found in disposable feminine products. Just soft, wonderful, reusable cloth.

Re: ~Mama Cloth~ Testimonial Thread
I have used mc about a year and a half now and went from 7 horrible days which four of them I could not leave the house. Since my switch I guess I noticed by month 3 of use that my period was down to four days and only one bad day. That is proof enough for me!
