Exclamation My no-sew fleece cover (aka the "mommy has no time to sew cover")

This is for all the mamas like me who have no time to sew, or for those that can't sew, or for people who just need a quick cover for whatever reason (waiting on fluffy mail, etc). Just a warning that this will probably not hold in blowouts and is not meant to be used with a lay in pad. A pinned or snappied prefold or a fitted would work just fine though.

1 - Cut a square about the size and length of a diaper that fits your baby. Just stretch a diaper out on your fabric, it doesn't have to be exact.

2 - Fold your fabric in 1/2, then 1/2 again. It doesn't really matter which way the stretch is going since this is just a rough cover.

3 - Cut a rectangle out of your fabric, using one folded edge and one open edge. You can always come back to cut more off if needed, but in general the more you cut the longer the "wings" will be but the narrower the crotch will be. Just cut off enough that you'll be able to tie the diaper with what is left.

4 - You now have a cover, and the peice you cut out of the diaper is perfect for laying in your diaper as a stay dry liner

5 - Tie it on your baby

6 - Off he goes!

Awsome idea! I'd bet that if your stretch went up and down rather than horizontally across the waist, you'd hold in a good bit of poo!

Ingenious! I love those ties! You could probably roll those sides in for poo containment.

We had some no-sew fleece diaper covers that we just LOVED! They are in the shape of a fitted diaper and I just folded up a prefold, laid it in, and wrapped the cover around and pinned. So trim and never a leak.

old thread I know, but I keep seeing references to a no sew fleece cover that you can pin and I have googled and searched on DS and i can find NO Mention of it or how to make it. I am totally intrigued though since I am without a working sewing machine at the moment.

Do you have a link or any more information please?
