Who has a Food Processor?

My parents want to buy us one for Christmas, but thet want me to pick it out and I can't decide between the Cuisinart DLC-2011BCN and the KitchenAid KFP750WH. Anyone have advice for me? Thanks!

Re: Who has a Food Processor?

I have the KitchenAid KFP7I5 7 cup food processor, and I like it. I mainly use it for soups and grating veggies. The only thing I don't like about mine is that it's only 7 cups, so I think a bigger one like you're getting would be better.

I have a bigger Cuisinart processor and I really like it. The only Kitchenaid product I have is a stand mixer. It's awesome, but I don't know anything about their processors.

Re: Who has a Food Processor?

I have a brand new 770 Kitchen Aid food processor and it is fantastic. It's quieter than the 750 which was really important to me but regardless, it's powerful and came with a ton of attachments and different sizes of bowls.

We have the Kitchenaid 7 cup and LOVE it. We have never needed anything bigger, and I love the smaller 3 cup blender that attaches to it

I have a Cuisinart and I'm honestly not that impressed. The blade comes out when you pour and it leaks horribly if you put alot in. I guess I shouldn't put so much but sometimes you don't know it's "too much" until it's all over your counter. If there was one that didn't have that leaking problem and that the blade stayed put when I poured I might consider that one and probably use it more.

Re: Who has a Food Processor?

I have a cuisine art and I agree with pp. The blade always falls out. It is very small and nothing ever comes out how I need it to. It did work good for the gram crackers I needed for a cheesecake tonight though.

Re: Who has a Food Processor?

I have a cuisinart 11 cup and love it, have never had a problem with it. I use it A LOT for all different things (like with a food processor, I can finally make a decent pie crust.) Mine came with 2 bowls, which is really handy. My mom has had the same cuisinart for 26 years and it's still going strong. I don't have much experience with the kitchen aid (I've used it at a family member's house) but their products are generally great, I love my stand mixer.

Re: Who has a Food Processor?

I have the larger Kitchen Aid and love it. It has a smaller insert for little jobs, never leaks, and is a breeze to clean. I used it for tons of babyfood, and make pizza dough in it all the time. I have had mine for 3 years, and had no issues.
