Re: Should I be getting worried?

Yeah, as long as she is cruising, that is fine.
It is a large range of ages. I have heard as early as 9 mos and as late as 2 years old (the 2 yr old was always carried by her 13 year old sister).

I think she is fine. However I know how you feel and I think that I would worry, even though there is no cause for it, kwim? My nephew didn't walk until about 16 months, so I know that it happens and kids develop at their own pace. DD walked at 10 months and now ds at only 7 months (today) is already pulling up and cruising!!

I would not worry at all... I would work w/ her a lot on it and encourage her... but worry???? No! All kids develop differently!

Re: Should I be getting worried?

don't worry!!! The day after DD turned 15 months she took her real first steps, and DH and I were both able to see it! She would run thru the house w/her walker/push toy thingie, but would'nt let go to try it on her own. Your LO will do it before you know it!!!

It sounds like she is progressing. It's hard not to worry though, I understand that. But really, I don't think it is cause for concern b/c it does sound like she is progressing. I would just keep gently encouraging her and trying not to worry about it!

Re: Should I be getting worried?

2 yo dd didn't walk until almost 17 months. When she did finally walk, she progressed to walking well very quickly. My oldest ds walked at around 9 months, and each dc has taken a little longer than the older ones, but this was months longer than my older dc. She also had chronic ear infections, and got tubes a few months before she started walking.

Re: Should I be getting worried?

15months is the AVERAGE age.

My ds walked at 18.5 months. Christmas day, to be exact.

As long as she can cruise and bear weight, don't worry.
