BFL is one of my favorite yarns. My dd has a pair of longies I knit for her in BFL it's SOOOO soft

I've never had any longies with BFL - how would you say that it compares to purewool or targhee?

Oh my, you are going to be so happy with these! I was so close to buying it myself just yesterday but I was too impatient to wait for a custom

She does fantastic work - I have a pair of her longies from FSOT and even though they are too big now, I have kept them for next year because they are so beautifully made.

BFL is called poor man's cashmere - lovely and soft but hardwearing too. If it is a plied yarn it will stand up better to wear, but it is still a good work horse whilst being very soft. I had 6lbs of undyed BFL delivered this morning ready for dyeing Can you tell I like BFL?!

ETA - the pattern is good too - one of the better ones IMO
