It just takes practice though

Celia, good luck with the wholesale order! I did that for a few months before deciding wholesale just wasn't right for me

I finished these up for Sweet Retreat

They are CV topped and have a funky owl fleece backing.

Your T&T skills are fab IMO. I can't do the serging without the blade, it's REALLY bad - I seem to miss half the pad and it's super loopy.

1/3 of the pads I make come out as seconds still . . . But I think my problem is not sticking with one design - I'm addicted to change, apparently. As soon as I get use to one, I draft up another.

I'm cautiously attempting some wholesale work - minimal, of course. I'm really excited about it, but I've got a lot more things to get in order to run it smoothly.

The owl is the fleece right? That's a great idea/way of incorporating cute prints. I'm still all stocked up on solid fleece, cept some clouds & tie dye print.

I have got to get out to Hancock's or send hubby to get me some serger thread - All I have on hand is pink, turquoise, yellow, natural, & purple. And it looks hideous if the thread colors don't match on top and bottom.... I did some natural obv w/ red fleece backed pads and they looked great - cept when you turn em over and see the natural thread on the red fleece - gah!! I was not thinking. So glad I caught myself before I made dozens more.

I LIKE using different colors on the top and bottom For example on the owl pads I posted, the thread is red on the top and it's green on the bottom. The green is a funky contrast that matches part of the owls

Re: The mama cloth makers NOVEMBER chat thread

I bought my snap press at J's, but have yet to make a pad. I think i am going to take it back and save up for a KAM. I really like the plastic snaps better and I haven't opened the cheapo. I think until I can save up for it, I am going to use little velcro dots. I really just need light panty liners until I am PP-- and I hope to have the press by the end of December =)

I love lurking and looking through all the FO's =D Thanks for sharing, ladies!

Thanks I know I don't have to be good at everything, but sometimes things like this make me feel slighly incompetent.

It may be different if I use COLORS instead of natural... I'll have to give that a try.... like maybe serge a pink & purple pad w/ yellow & turquoise or something.
