DD1- 9 weeks

DD2- will be 1 on the 19th with no end in sight!

DS1: 18mos (self weaned)
DD: 30 mos (self weaned)
DS2: still going at 18 mos

So I only voted once, cause all 3 kids are in the 18+ month category

DD almost weaned during my pregnancy, but is super happy now that mommy's milk is back. She's 28 months now.

LOL, most people don't want to hear how long I nursed.

My two boys I only nursed for 6 months due to "I didn't know any better".
DD #1 nursed for 4.5 years
DD#2 for 4 years
DD#3 for 3.5 years
DD#4 for 3 years (see a pattern here? LOL)
DD#5 still nursing
baby on the way will nurse as long as he wants.

I tandem nursed three times and it's looking like I will be again.

DS1: self weaned at 26.5 months when I was pg
DS2: 10.5 months and going strong. I'll do child led weaning with him, too, and hopefully he will go longer since pregnancy will not be a factor.

until 1 year and a half, but if my baby still wants to be breastfeed i wont refuse what he wants. I do have a friend who is still breastfeeding her daughter until now. Her daughter is 3 years old.

So far I have been nursing for over 9 yrs straight, tandem nursing (including nursing 2 down for naps and bed daily) for over 7 yrs. straight. I nursed through 4 pregnancies (tandem through 3) and have nursed 3 kids for a total of a year and have pumped to donate milk (for a friend and my sister) after #4 and #5 (am nursing 2 and pumping for my sister now). So far being pregnant has not caused any of my kids to want to wean.

It may seem overwhelming, but I really think a lot has to do with your mindset (and maybe personality?). It feels very normal and natural to me but when I type it out it seems really, really crazy, LOL!! And fwiw, none of them has ever had formula or a bottle period (not even of expressed milk).

As to when they stopped nursing

#1 was 4 1/2 (6mo after my 3rd was born)
#2 was 5 (the only one I encouraged to wean when she turned 5, 6mo after my 4th was born)
#3 was 4 and 8mo (shortly after my 5th was born)
#4 will be 3 in Jan and still nursing
#5 is 5mo. and nursing

DD#1 i weaned her at 7 months because I didn't know any better
DD#2 self-weaned at 22months
DD#3 22months and still nursing several times a day. we night-weaned last month and we are happier that way now and looking forward to many more months of nursing.
