noisy advertisements

I understand that in order to keep the site free and running well that there has to be advertising but my problem is that some of them make a lot of noise. It's very jarring to be sitting here with the baby asleep or nursing in my lap and one of those darn advertisments go off and startle me and upset the baby. I try to remember to mute the speakers but this is a family computer and I don't always remember to do so.

I just wish me opening a page didn't trigger the sound and only if I clicked on the ad would I hear what it had to say. I know that some stay muted unless you click on the them. I don't mean to complain but I feel like the ads are attacking me.
