Re: Flats Picture Thread

I tried putting DD in a receiving blanket using Rosie Posie's angelwing fold on the other flat thread. I added a Gerber flat as a doubler. it was sooo soft and fit well. She told me she peed, but I swear I needed to feel it a lot cause it didn't feel wet. Maybe she only peed a little IDK.

Can someone tell how flannel washes and dries compared to, say, LL flats? we handwash most times and hang dry so I really like how fast the LL flats dy.

Re: Flats Picture Thread

I don't know for sure but I'm thinking the birdseye will be a little faster to dry than flannel. Haven't tested or anything but that's just my thinkin'.

That's what I'm thinking too. I'm probably going to wash tomorrow so we'll see. I was just wondering in case anyone else already knew

Re: Flats Picture Thread

I have been following this thread since I joined to try to get an idea of what CDing with flats will be like. When she got here I did not realize they would be enormous on her at first lol My LO is 3.5 weeks old and about 9lbs so we are finally trying out flats on a more regular basis! I have a lot to learn still (practice makes perfect I guess lol) but it works for now Hopefully she'll stop wiggling so much so I can play with them more

At about 1 week, 8lbs. LL flat (dyed by me) in an origami fold:

In a NB Dappi... WAY too big!!! Her legs won't be chunky enough for these for quite some time. What's up with that?

Yesterday in a flannel receiving blanket, pinned (very poorly lol) with a Dritz. Jelly rolled origami:

So trim!!

I definitely prefer the receiving blankets for the newborn stage (the LL flats are so huge on her and folding down is a pain) and I jellyroll EVERYTHING now since her EBF poops escape otherwise

Thanks I just hate how it's all kind of bunched up in the front since I haven't figured out what to do with all the extra fabric yet

LL flats are a little big on the little ones. Kimber is 6 1/2 months and 18 pounds and they just started fitting her good.

Re: Flats Picture Thread

I have never even looked at flat's b/c I didn't think they would absorb that much since they are so thin. I want to try it with the receiving blankets. What is LL Flats?? Linky????

Going to try it tomorrow!!! I have some of the thicker hospital receiving blankets I'm going to try.
