Need longie help

I was wondering if there was any way to knit both legs at the same time using the same yarn so that both legs have the same color for variegated yarn instead of the legs looking like they each belong on different pants?
TIA!!!!!!!

I don't know if you can do it knitting from the same ball unless you knit one leg from one end of the ball of yarn and the other leg from the other end. If you do it from one end, the yarn is all one piece and you can't magically divide one piece of yarn into two legs. I would get yarn from the same dye lot and just go from there. When you work with variegated you never know what you will get. Sometimes no matter how hard you try you can't get perfection.
