Unhappy 10mo Gagging Himself?

My 10mo DS has started gagging himself. He's made himself throw up several times the last few days. At first I thought he might be getting his molars in and trying to reach those back gums...but now I am not so sure. (he already has 10 teeth)

Help!

Mine does it as well.. alot of the time it has to do with teething for us or when he's hungry.. but sometimes he just does it because it's a new fun thing to do. ugh. thankfully he hasn't puked yet.

It's a phase, a new thing he can do. Try not to react to it when he does it, and the novelty will eventually wear off. DD did it for a bit at that age, or maybe a bit older, we ignored it, she stopped.

When dd2 started that the ped told me to ignore it. She had just figured out something new to do w/ her body and she was exploring. She stopped after a few weeks.

Yep nothing to worry about. DS is almost 3 and still enjoys testing out that reflex for fun from time to time.

My sister did the same thing. She did it for a long time, and more like when she was 2 I believe. My parents didn't make a big deal out of it but I do believe she got to the point where they did have to discipline her. But he's so little, I'd ignore it too. Don't worry. My sister's a very wonderful, well adjusted, 27 year old woman today. LOL!

The little 18 month old girl I care for does this at lunch time, usually she uses her spoon. Her parents said that the first time she did they freaked out and now she does it all the time just to get a reaction.

I try to ignore it but it's hard when she actually makes herself throw up. I'm hoping she grows out of it soon

Re: 10mo Gagging Himself?

Hahaha- my older DD did this all through Christmas dinner the year when she had just turned one. The cousins thought it was hilarious! (So did I, up to a point.) We just let her do it, and a couple of weeks later it was gone. One of those passing things.
