Re: Difference between Jersey & Interlock knits?
jersey is one sided, I mean it looks different on the front than the back. A mans undershirt is jersey. Interlock looks the same of the front as the back. Nice weight womens t shirts are usually interlock.
If they are printed they obviously look different, but you get the idea. Both are stretchy knits, jersey is thinner usually than interlock. Jeanne |

Re: Difference between Jersey & Interlock knits?
I've been wondering that too. So my next question after that explanation, which one is better for dipes? I would assume interlock purely because it's heavier, but is that really true?

Re: Difference between Jersey & Interlock knits?
Well, interlock would be better in theory, because a heavier fabric should absorb more, since there is more fiber there.
Goodmama, they like rib, though that is because of the stretch. That is a differnt "knit" though, rib instead of interlock or jersey. Also single sided, and tends to be thinner, like jersey. It stretches all wonky on me when I try to use it. Normally settles down after you wash it a couple times. Jeanne |
