Ideas for 3 year old boy???

Ok...DH and I are making the kiddos gifts this year with very limited funds and not tons of time. DH is a woodworker and I have basic sewing skills and can be crafty with a visual. So far we have doll slings, doll diapers and homemade playdough, aprons and rolling pins...all for both kiddos. We also have a bead box with beads, bows and a bow holder for my daughter. If we have time my DH is making our DD a basic jewelry box and DS a treasure box. Any other ideas for a 3 year old boy?? (or ideas for both of them) If it's cheap enough and we can do it fast enough, no such thing as too much

My son enjoys the crayon roll I made for him and is looking forwrad to making some finger paints.BUT I would say that if your hubby is good with wood, my husband made our son a hot wheel ramp that he can race hot wheels down a few at a time and it is one of his most favortie things

Oh the Hot Wheels ramp sounds awesome! My kids love their cars so much - it's the one thing they've consistently loved over the years.

You could make him a cape or an I-Spy bag, too.

He already made the kids a ramp/garage for their cars. Thanks, they do love that.

I was thinking of making some kind of crayons and totally forgot about a cape. Thanks!

On the thrifty forum someone posted about making a set of blocks from a 2x4.
Here's the link.

Somewhere in this forum someone posted about making a fort out of felt fabric to fit your kitchen table. They are super cute and can be as quick to make as you want and should be pretty cheap!

How about some kind of playhouse or puppet theater? Or maybe a special organizer for crayons and things?

He just took two scraps of square wood and glue some supports between the two. It was a daddy/kiddo project, so it was not made to look good or last long

I will be making my son a teepee this year using: Butterick Pattern B4251 Children's Tepee Tent (sorry, I don't have enough posts to add links yet) I think it will make a substantial "wow" gift on Christmas morning
