How much for injectables?

We're supposed to be starting the Gonal-f pen next cycle. We need to have our cycle paid in full before they'll send the meds. I haven't recieved the bill yet, but was wondering how much it'll run me?

We're doing the Gonal-f pen and Ovidrel. Does it vary?

Also, any advice on the injections? How much higher is the chance of multiples? We're obviously being monitored by blood and u/s.

Re: How much for injectables?

I just did IVF with Gonal-f 900 unit pen. I needed two pens, my insurance covered it, but the bill I got said the insurance portion was $2,302.22 for 2 pens. I do not know if this is what they would charge you out of pocket.

I didn't do Ovidrel, i think it is just Hcg? We did the Novarel brand and the price for that was 91.39.

Hope I was helpful, and I hope the cycle goes well for you!! I just finished the injections myself, I don't think it was as bad as I thought it would be if that is any solace.

Thank you! I still have no idea how much it will cost since I am being monitored also. We have no infertility coverage through our insurance, but I am hoping they cover some of the meds.

Injectables can be so expensive. See if your Dr's office has any NIP that have been donated back for families who might not be able to afford the cost of meds due to non-coverage by insurance company.
