Okay August mamas here is our chat thread! I know we are so bummed to have to give up our August 09 board,

but lets try to keep in touch with each other here! This can be our new place to hang out, post pictures, chat, give updates - whatever! We have all had so much fun getting to know each other this past year, so lets keep it up!

So to start everything off, why don't we post a picture and a little update about how you and your little one are doing!

Great idea, Carolyn!

Well, I am not posting a pic today, but I will soon. As far as how we're doing, we took out first family vacation to Charlotte, NC over the holidays. It went well, but I don't know that vacationing can be that fun with a 3.5 month old.

Emmitt turned 15 weeks today. He's growing like a weed! He's in some 0-3 mo clothes, some 3-6 mo clothes, and some 6 mo clothes. He did his first laugh that sounded more like an adult laugh than a baby squeal this weekend! It was wonderful!! He has rolled over once, but most of the time his arm stays in the way...poor little guy. He still likes bathtime, but his patience with tummy time is twindling. He's still a piggy and eating all the time!! But thank goodness we made it through his nursing strike a few weeks ago.

As for me, I'm struggling with headaches. Probably 2 or 3 a week. They're killing me! I'm completely overwhelmed with baby and work and wondering if I might be slipping back to mild depression. (I was on Prozac before getting PG.) Is anyone else nursing and taking anything for depression? I'm going to talk to my OB on Friday.

Hope all is going well and can't wait to hear from you other August mamas!!

Hey everyone! Thanks for starting the Thread!!! Well we have been doing wonderful. M DH is doing great with helping out, which is suprising. He seems to be getting better and better with helping me with the kids, the more kids we have. I swear he didn't lift a finger with our first, and maybe lifted 2 fingers with our 2nd...and this one is a whole different story

All of us are healthy, which I am thankful for, but am dreading the cold weather and not looking forward to seeing running noses soon. Tried Isaak in his toddler bed in Elijah's room yesterday for nap, and bedtime, and for nap today and it went great! So he might be staying in Elijahs room from now on, and I can finally move Ethan out of the dining room into Isaaks old room. But I guess we will see. They wake up a lot earlier being in the same room and I don't sleep very soundly since I am always nervous that one will get up and lead the other one into Ethans room and wake him up. (They both can open the door and come out whenever they want.)
Elijah has stopped taking naps during the day now...which I hate. I was forcing him to nap everyday for like the past 3mo. just so I could get a break, but he really doesn't need one and is a burst of energy all day everyday. Ethan is doing great, a thumb sucker and still EBF (but that will be ending very very soon.) He was sleeping from 10pm to like 830-930am (whenever I WOKE HIM UP), the next morning, but the past two mornings he has been getting up at like 4 and 7am. So I must have jinxed myself.

I have been doing great, but having head aches a lot during the wk. like Hadley, and am completely exhausted. We have not been preventing preg. at all ever since Ethan was born and still nothing has happened, so I am going to wean him soon so we can get preg. hopefully in Dec./Jan. Hopefully I have enough pumped until he is 6mo. and then he will be put on formula. Not sure on his weight, but I think his 4mo. appt. is next wk. My friend just had her baby one wk. late on Sat. and gave birth naturally at home to a 10lb. 11oz. boy! WHOOHOOO! We are still of course on the look out for a bigger house as usual...ummm and I think that is about it.

All you mamas kids are freakin' adorable! Madi and I are doing good. Missing being prego and jealous that its not me on the aug 2010 board.

I have heard her first giggle, but I haven't gotten her to do it again since. Hopefully I'll hear it soon. I really like the daycare I am sending her to so I can slave away at work full time. I can go over during lunch and nurse her. :-) Madi is now starting to sleep through the night too.

Can't wait to get prego again, if it ever happens! I've been in pain on my left side for three days now. I'll give it a few more days and if it doesn't quit then i'll call the doc. Hope its just a muscle pull, though it doesn't feel like it.

I just hope it's nothing serious. Madilyn will also be 16 weeks next week...wow...time is flying by! This picture was taken on Saturday....tree time! My sister said she looks like an elf..and I agree! My little elf...

Oh cool what a great idea. I can't believe it's been a year! Oh I'm so sad and I don't know why. It's not like I want another baby.

Well we're doing great Johanna is the sweetest girl! She is for the most part a pretty easy going baby. She just hit 3 months since she was born at the end of August. She is over 15 pounds now. She is still EBF and we intend to keep it that way until she is at least 6 months then may start on some solids.

I'm still trying to loose pregnancy weight. I'm at 135 and still need to get to 120-125 to be at my regular weight. I haven't started any exercise yet. So I know as soon as I do those last 10-15 pounds should come off pretty easy.

OMG Jeddings. I am so jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want her hair! She has more than I had when I was like 6yrs. old. My kids are not blessed with a lot of hair at all. LOL. I haven't started exercising to tone up anything yet either. But I will after we have our next kid.

Sara- I never realized that...but she does kind of look like an elf in that pic. HAHA. Oh your cute little Elf for Christmas!

Thanks. Thick crazy hair runs on my side of the family. Usually when we're out in public people always comment on either her hair or the carrier she is in.

Hey mamas!!!

Natalie is doing great. She was 13lbs at her last appt. I'm sure she is bigger now. Today she laughed! a big belly laugh! it was so cute. She also got her first two bottom teeth... she likes to bit me. I still EBF, but I don't know how much longer I can take the biting.
