Ditto this! If they try to keep talking, especially if it's a random person with no kids, then I get uncomfortable and find a reason to leave. But I'm never rude, and I teach my son to be polite and say "Hello" "Bye" and "Thank you"

I smile and say thank you. If they have kids I usually try to find something nice to say about their kids too.

I say thank you and move on, or add that I'm a lucky mama. I do have good kids Maybe try to say something nice about their kids if they have any.

I get it alot because my 4 behave pretty well when we go out. And everyone loves the baby! I smile and thank them. I do however hate it when people tell me I have my hands full or am brave for taking them all out Wth?

I usually just smile and say thank you, but having multiples is like being the ringleader at freakshow circus sometimes. I went into Costco a couple weeks ago and this lady YELLS across the store to her friend "Oooh my GAAAAWWD, just look at those red-headed TWINS!!!" And I could just feel all the eyes on me. I don't like attention in the first place, and I just seem to get way too much of it when I'm out with the twins. Sometimes it's hard to jsut walk away because everyone wants to ask a million questions.

That bugs me too! Or the "Double Trouble" comments people make about the twins. Like my angels are little monsters or something.

I am trying to teach my girls to "not openly talk to strangers" because my girls are very friendly and love everyone.

-- i think it started back from church that my husband and i went to for the past 12 years and worked in the church and knew everyone and could trust all/most people who were around the kids (so being one of the only places my kids went i didn't have to really watch what they we're saything because everyone there knew where we lived anyways.---

In stores, i always need to remind my 5 year old, but to talk to people we don't know. because right off the back shes telling them her name age and shes got a sister and mommies going to have a baby boy... everything, somedays i think shes going to give them our phone number and address and say mommy take a shower in the morning and leaves the door unlocked, come and get us(not really but shes so talkative)

I smile and try not to make more no extra conversation, i love my girls and love the attention of how well and pretty they are, but girls are girls and LOVE TO TALK a-lot!

i've noticed a lot of people ask my 4 month old DS questions (and expect me to respond) for ex. "Hi cutie, how old are you and what is your name... etc." I usually respond "he is very advanced, but doesn't know how to talk yet" For compliments directed to me about him I usually just smile and go... I have had too many experiences with strange strangers so I try not to encourage!
