New cookie recipes

This year for Christmas, DH and I are giving my grandfather a bit of a different gift. We're giving, cookie sheets, cooling trays, and 12 new cookie recipes. Each month, starting in January, we'll bring the ingredients for one of the recipes and visit for an afternoon making cookies. Because they're to be "new" recipes, I figured I'd ask for you DS mamas help. Please share any cool cookies and recipes that you make with me! Thanks!

Re: New cookie recipes

What a great idea. I always look at allrecipes.com to get new ideas from (though I don't have any new ones since when I try them DH still just likes plain oatmeal without raisens)

Re: New cookie recipes

Well, it's not a new recipe per se BUT it is seriously the best oatmeal cookie recipe I have evre tasted and my entire family agrees. If you would like ot have it please LMK and I will get it to you. You can add pretty much whatever tickles your fancy to the basic recipe(although it doesn't need a thing IMO)

Re: New cookie recipes

I would love a good oatmeal cookie recipe. Also, if anyone knows of an oatmeal raison one that keeps the cookie soft, that'd be amazing too. Oh, and my mom's grandma used to make a molasses cookie that mom has raved about for years. I've never had them, but she said they stuck together, if you have anything that sounds like that, I'd love to know about it to try out for her too. Thanks for the responses so far!

Oh, and the Steelers cake was made for the Super Bowl last year, I guess it was good luck!

Re: New cookie recipes

A family favorite is pumpkin chip cookies. They're always a big hit!

One of my personal favorites is choc-oat-chip cookies. They're the perfect texture and they're so good! (I actually just made a bunch to give as thank you's to some friends last night. Some may have fallen out of the bags and stayed with me...)

That's so funny! One of my Grandpa's signature cookies is pumpkin chocolate chip. (He's the big cookie maker of the family.)
