Swimming classes with baby?

Has anyone taken swimming classes with their infant? My dh thinks that I should do it, so I wanted to get other opinions about whether it's fun or not. I think dd would look so cute in a swimsuit! It might be worth it just for that!

We've been to 3 diffeent sessions of swim so far (ds is just over 1) and we love it. He is a big fan of the water and I like to meet other moms etc. The classes I have been to have been very low key, just about having fun in the water, no actual lessons or anything and that is what I like, I've heard about classes where there is pressure to put your dc under water and that doesn't appeal to me.

We are currently in swimming lessons and ds loves it! So do I! He is 8 mos old. It is a lesson but there is lots of singing and playing. Submersions are taught but there isn't any real pressure to do it. If you don't want to you don't have to. FWIW, I dunked him. It didn't really phase him. If you don't panic neither do they. We started going to the pool around 4 mos. He liked it then but absolutely loves it now. As an added bonus, after swimming we come home and he sleeps for like 2 1/2 to 3 hours!!

I teach a mommy and me swimming class as well as take my dd. We sing songs kick babies feet blow bubbles and just have fun in the water. I LOVE IT!
