Need a Fudge recipe: Chocolate Fudge with a Peanut Butter Fudge swirl.

The best fudge I ever had, was a chocolate fudge that had a peanut butter fudge swirled into it.

I have a recipe for chocolate fudge, and I have a recipe for peanut butter fudge.. do I just make the two fudges and then try to swirl them together?

How do I swirl? Do I add a bit of chocolate then a bit of peanut butter, then a bit of chocolate etc.. so that they look like stripes, then swirl with a spatula?

Anybody have experience with this?

Also, can I substitute 12oz of chocolate chips for 12oz of baking chocolate?

Thanks
God bless,
Michelle

Re: Need a Fudge recipe: Chocolate Fudge with a Peanut Butter Fudge swirl.

was it peanut butter fudge, or a peanut butter substance?

You can make the two fudges and swirl them, but fudge is pretty tempermental, if you pour the first fudge, then "mess with it" it will cause the fudge to get grainy.

the fudge basiclly needs to be made at the same time and then swirled instantly..

or you could make the pb fudge, plop spoonfuls into the pan, and then make the chocolate and pour over that, either leave it alone, or quickly swirle with a knife.

Just layer it instead of swirling! I make peanut butter chocolate fudge all the time. In order to swirl it you'd have to make both at the same time and swirled with no wait time.

You could layer peanut butter, chocolate, and then drizzle more peanut butter on top is a swirl pattern... but then you'd have to make the PB, then the chocolate, then the PB again...

Thanks mamas!

I think I'll layer the fudge, it seems like an easier way to get the same taste!

Thanks

Michelle
