okay, ive been told, and read little snipets of every article i could find about conceiving twins while nursing. anyone have some more information other than what i found on ASK.com or like sites. some actual statistics/more detailed articles.

i believe it to be possible , when i was still nursing Gage we conceived Declan and my first u/s was 2 lil beans ( very early u.s ) but one stopped growing and was gone by about 11 weeks. ( vanishing twin syndrome ) but just curious..

so has this happened to you \? conceived twins while breastfeeding?

we too got twins while nursing.

But i was a twin and we were on clomid...but my midwife said bt the 3 if i didn't get twins it would be strange...ha ha.

I've gotten pregnant twice while nursing- no twins yet.

According to it, chance of having twins is increased by nine if the mother is bfing at time of conception!

pearl was conceived while bf'ing and i didnt end up w/ twins...

our joke is that we WILL end up w/ them if we ttc again considering ive had to push hubs into even agreeing to #4...

i didnt see the reference to bf'ing increasing the chance of multiples...just if you eat meat/drink dairy...which is actually kind of scary to think about the hormones used in the meat industry affecting a woman's fertility...even if it is to get twice the cute...

i love the idea of twins, but they do carry extra risks/extra taxing on a momma's body, etc...

I am still breastfeeding and am 11 weeks preggo w/ twins. Wish I had know...I might have weaned sooner!
