Question Looking for a Mama In Germany (o:

hey mamas! im an ami who misses deutschland dearly (lived there from the time i was 16-20yrs), and was wondering if there are any ami mamas in germany who miss the states? im looking to make a good friend, and a few trades... some german stuff sent here (a missing piece of my life, for a missing piece of yours?) and some ami stuff sent there?
id really like to find a friend, i miss germany, and german things so much - i even raise my kids auf deutsch! just a little nuts
we could also make it a multiple-mama group old fashioned penpals... with an online forum twist?
hope there are some mamas out there who are interested!

aww, I miss it too and I'm only 2 hours away. If only there were a way to get fresh Brezeln and Spezi here, I'd be content.

I am a German mama but live in Canada! Miss the old country, too sometimes. I speak German to my kiddos, too as much as I can, as dh doesn't speak any.

I'm an ami married to a german, raising our family here in NRW.

I'd be more than happy to ''chat'' with others in similar situations.

He just doesn't get it! And speaking of going for the day and gobbling up all the yummy things-I just did that earlier in December. haha I demanded we go spend a day in Düsseldorf at the Weihnachtsmarkt, but we ended up making a weekend out of it. Waddling around there pregnant as a cow in those crowds was rough, but worth the effort. I don't even buy anything when I go, just eat.

I'm not looking for trades but will be happy to send books or things in exchange for paypal funds. My local Thalia bookstore often has reduced priced books but shipping is not so cheap.
