How do I invite other friends?

How do I invite my friends to join this site? And by that I mean what link do I give them so it shows that I referred them here? I can't figure out how to do it and I was certain that you could.

You would just give them your username and the main site URL. When they sign up, there's a spot to put "did someone refer you here" or something and that's where they'd type your username.
