Question Kawaii users: how do you wash?

Kawaii diapers make up a majority of my stash. I currently have the diaper covers and the OS Heavy Duty AIOs (pockets) with the microfiber inserts. I want to know how other Kawaii users wash their diapers. Baby is due in March, so I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row. Thanks!

Do you wash the covers and the inserts together or not?

What do you wash/rinse on: hot/warm/cold?

Which water level do you use?

I put them on a hot wash first with my Oxyclean and detergent. After I put them on a cold short cycle with nothing. I then dry them in my dryer on medium/high heat. I wash them all together and never have issues.

We don't take the inserts out, they come out in the washer unless it's too big of a load and then we'll get a few that are still stuck.

We do a cold rinse, a hot wash with Tide, and then another cold rinse. We dry on hot.

Are you planning on using them from the get-go? I just want to warn you my DD is 9m and around 20lbs and is still on the smallest setting.

I do take out the inserts. I wasn't sure if they would come out on their own so I always take them out.
I do a cold rinse, warm wash with tide, cold rinse and then hang the covers to dry and put inserts in the dryer. GL!

We'll use them from the beginning as long as they fit. We're registered for some sized diaper covers just in case.

Oh, and thanks for the responses! I'm glad to see that I can wash them all together.

Re: Kawaii users: how do you wash?

This is what we do:
Cold Rinse
Hot wash w/ Country Save
Cold Rinse
The inserts go in the dryer and the shells are hung dry on the drying rack.

So far, I really like these dipes for the price (maybe better than BGOS???) but I just got them and we'll see how they hold up.

Also, I agree that they probably won't fit right away. DD is 15lbs and I have it on her as small as it goes (snapped all the way down, aplix completely together)

My 15 lb-er is on the medium setting, so it will vary baby to baby.

Very helpful thread. I was about to ask the same thing. When you are prepping them do you have to do the pre-rinses?
