Exclamation Sewing with PUL?? HELP!!!

I have some printed PUL cuts I decided to make into diapers as the FOE for my covers just wasn't working out. I tried making a diaper with one cut and it was all over the place!!! Then I remembered someone said about using a walking foot when sewing with PUL?? I have an old singer and a new one. My new one didn't come with a walking foot but my ol one did and their almost pretty much the same design machines (duh their both singers haha) but I was wondering if Ido need to use a walking foot would this one work for my new machine?? And is there anymore helpful tips for sewing with PUL?!??

I don't use a walking foot when sewing PUL. I've got one but have never used it.

When sewing your pul, make sure that the PUL is face down on the machine. This way you're sewing on the other material on top. make sense? If I sew with the PUL on top...it's horrible.

What if you are sewing pul together for a wet bag?

I also place my PUL face down when sewing and I use tons of pins in the inseam being careful to only stay on the inseam. When I am sewing 2 pieces together for a wetbag I create a fold on the upper piece that will be touching the foot and pin it to the lower piece.

Then, a walking foot REALLY helps! If you don't have one, a piece of tissue paper or wax paper between the foot and the shiny side of the PUL helps too.

I use a piece of tissue paper between the foot and the pul. You can also use basting spray or temp. spray adhesive to keep the pul from shifting around when you sew.

I use a walking foot when usingPUL (and its broken and Im at a loss!) You can also use the teflon foot and teflon sheet.
Ive also heard in a pinch you can use pieces of tissue paper and then pulling it out the stitches after!

This is only necessary when u are sewing with the 'sticky' side of the PUL
