Re: grouping FSOT by sizes
Do you mean having the same forums right now but subforums with 'small, medium, large' (ie: Pockets > Small, Medium, Large)

Re: grouping FSOT by sizes
I think that is exactly what she was talking about. That would be nice.

Re: grouping FSOT by sizes
While this would be nice and convenient for the users, it would be a nightmare for the moderators. We are already pretty overworked trying to keep the FSOT somewhat neat and tidy. Adding a ton of size subforums just wouldn't be a feasible thing for us to do.
![]() The best way right now to try to find the size you need is by searching for the full name (if a word has three or fewer characters, it's not a valid search option) and looking through those threads. |

This is where it gets hard sometimes as people often use the abbreviations. BG, FB, UTN, LL, GMD, etc. Rarely do I see someone actually type out the full name of their dipes so often searching is fruitless because you can't search using less than 3 characters.

![]() Maybe a mod could post a sticky in the FSOT forums with tips for posting items for sale...i.e. spell out sizes and brand names, avoid the condition acronyms (EUC, GUC, VGUC), etc.

Re: grouping FSOT by sizes
Effective use of the tools we already have at our disposal (titles, hovering, etc) would improve things alot. If people would use sizes in their thread titles, it would make it easier. You could do the "Fuzzi Bunz" search, and then browse the thread titles for one that says M. That way if people have multiple, they can say M, L.
Most folks seem to realize their post won't be found in a search if they just use "FB", so they seem to use that in the thread title and spell out "Fuzzi Bunz" in their post somewhere. If those folks would also spell out "medium" somewhere, it would help the searcher find their post. The sticky does mention effective use of "hoverers" - don't put your "fine print" stuff at the top, and start your post with a summary sentence of the type, size, etc. I use hovering quite a bit when perusing FSOT and unless its something I'm really looking for, I'll skip posts that start with the business stuff.

Re: grouping FSOT by sizes
Good points, mommyv! Maybe a posting template would help, like what's in the WAHM Feedback forum?

That would be fantastic, but I totally understand from the moderators POV, it would be a ton more work!!
