Ooops! Butternut Squash Froze in Car

Do you think it's still good? I was planning to roast it for dh and me and puree part of it for ds. It's thawing in the fridge right now. The skin looks a little funny. Thanks

I think it will be fine if you are planning to roast and puree. Might noth have the best texture for other recipes but I think it should be fine. You aren't really out anything by trying. Let me know how it goes!

I think it would be fine for the puree- not sure about for anything else.

Puree will work fine. The consistency will definitely change after freezing squash, zucchini, etc. but after pureeing, you shouldn't notice a big difference.

Well, I opted to puree the whole thing because it was a little soggy. Thankfully, my son LOVED it! I'm so glad I didn't toss it
