Prunes and diarrhea (sp?)

Could too many prunes mid-morning cause diarrhea by 5 pm? Not just loose stools, but diarrhea?

Trying to decide if my girls are actually sick/contagious or just over-pruned....

I would think so. Doesn't it only take, like 3 hours for food to pass through the stomach into the intestines?

Oh yeah. I used to give my oldest prunes when she was constipated and within hours she would be going a lot.

mmmmm, i know when i eat a lot of prunes (like, more than 3) i definitely get the runs!

I can eat 8 or 10 without a huge difference, and they do have cold symptoms, so it made me worry. No problem this morning, though, so I guess it was the prunes.

Swap out for bananas and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't, you might have a virus or something.

Oh yes. I was trying to loosen up my daughter's bowels when my uber-regular son asked for some prunes too. He probably only ate 4 or 5. He totally had uncontrollable diarrhea while were out to eat later that day. Absolutely horrifying!!
