My aunt won't feed her pets anything without tasting it first...so I'm pretty sure your LO is just fine

If my friend's little girl is fine after eating a bit of cat litter , I'm sure your son is going to be fine with the food.

If dog food was poisonous, my brothers and I would be dead long before now. Apparently we would sneak it as "snacks" when we were kids. My poor mom was so grossed out.

I can't help but laugh. All of mine at some point have eaten dog or cat food and a few dog biscuits too. I don't think it does any harm to the kids but totally grosses out the parents.

I hope it's safe. My ODS had a diet of pretty much dog food and dog food from 9-18 months. I would put it up and he would still find it and get into it.

OMG, he has been trying to get to it constantly now. It smells so bad I don't get why he'd want more-and he's not a kid who's ever been big on sticking stuff in his mouth. I asked my mom about it as well, and she said she couldn't feed the cats inside or bro and I would ruin our dinner
Also, thanks everyone for the reassurance and laughs! I think this will just be one of those things hubby doesn't need to know about.
