sick baby WWYD?

I thought DS would be over his "cold" by now, but it's day 4 of fever. He's nursing plenty, but doesn't want anything else really. Other than the fever he has cough, congestion, runny nose. It did take DD about a week to fully kick it, but he seems so unhappy that I'm thinking of taking him to the ped even though there's probably nothing she can do. WDYT?

FWIW, DS (13 months at the time) had a virus in the fall that started with 5 days of high (103.3 if not medicated) fever. I took him to the pedi on day five because we were going camping later in the week and I wanted to make sure it wasn't anything more.

It was indeed just a virus and he was over it in the usual 10 days, the first five were just more miserable than normal.

16mo, that makes me feel better mama thanks, he's just never been sick this long. His fever is about 102 unmedicated, I'm usually not the worrier, but my parents have been in my ear all week about it.

I thought it was nothing with my two who have been sick for several days. Turns out they both have ear infections!

DOH! no ear infection symptoms here, though I guess those are random sometimes
