Attractive rocker / glider?

I had a hard time choosing a forum for this question, but I figured breast feeding mamas might be able to help, since the main point in a rocker/glider is to breastfeed in it.

I am wondering if there is such thing as a "beautiful" rocker/glider. All the ones I've found look like Amish furniture or Ikea furniture. I'm curious if there's anything out there that is a little more "traditional?"

Oh that one is almost MANLY, like it belongs in a library or cigar room. :P I like that it looks a little more sophisticated.

I went to a second hand store once and Luke had to nurse and the manager grabbed me a glider with a nursing pillow and it was so amazing, I almost fell asleep lol

Have you looked at BRU? I was there when I was preggo and they had some AMAZING gliders there that looked kinda like the second "IKEA" one you posted. They were shaped diff though, so it looked more like a chair and a half. Does that make sense? Anyways, they were sooooo comfy!! But they were also like $400!! Too much for us! Ive sworn that next babe, I'm getting one no matter what! Good luck finding something that works for you mama!

from Pottery Barn as a gift from my in laws. It is sooooooooo comfy. You seriously don't want to get out of it. I figure we will use it as living room furniture when I am done using it to nurse.

I bought a nice one at a local furniture store. Have you walked through the storerooms? I bet they are going to have some great deals coming up with tax rebate season.

I love the Pottery Barn one posted above! I didn't even realize that furniture stores stocked gliders. I'm going to investigate that! I will NOT be getting a tax rebate (I am militant about not giving the government a tax-free loan and I pay taxes when they are due, rather than have them deducted) but I have some time before I actually have to make a purchase, so I can shop around for a good deal.

I liked the first one you posted b/c it looked nice and cushy. My cushions aren't as thickas those and after a while it gets tiresome to sit in them. But I loved to rock my babies in them even if i wasn't nursing. THey are just comfy IMO...and a smoother rock if you are rocking to sleep
