Re: Random Pantry Idea Challenge Game

use chorizo in tacos instead of ground beef. I used to eat them in mexico all the time when i had to go for work. the key is to rinse the meat well after its browned.

found a recipe tonight for chorizo and black bean burritos.. much better. I love chorizo but don't like it by itself, the beans should tone it down nicely!

Thanks for another Couscous idea! Balsalmic Vinegar- Toss mushrooms, red onion chunks, zucchini, red pepper, and yellow squash with a mixture of Balsalmic vinegar and olive oil. Marinate for a while, then grill or bake in a covered dish at 400 degrees. Yum!

I think you can also serve strawberries with it. Or I have blended it with strawberries for salad dressing.

I will stick with my ingredient, Heinz Chili Sauce. Anyone?

re: water chestnuts

Spinach dip! The cold kind. Like this one. I can't stand water chestnuts in anything else.

Mmmm.... now I need to go by more water chestnuts. DH will think I am crazy. And, thank you for the great date recipe! That will definitely be a hit here.

Chili Sauce- I would definitely use it in meatloaf or meatballs. It's my favourite way to use up BBQ sauces or salsas.

Re: Random Pantry Idea Challenge Game

Chili sauce is awesome in hot dog chili. Just brown the meat, and add a packet of chili seasoning and the entire bottle of chili sauce. Stir it together and then add a tbs or so of brown sugar and yellow mustard. Salt and pepper it and top a hot dog--it is really good.
