What age do you consider "pre-school age"?
I see a lot of people saying they have 2 and 3 year olds in preschool and I've never heard of that. To me preschool is at age 4 and then at 5 they go to kindergarten and so on and so forth. What do you guys consider preschool age?

Re: What age do you consider "pre-school age"?
My 3 and 4 year olds are doing pre-k curriculum. My two year old basically sits in and absorbs while learning very simple concepts like colors, shapes, ABC's etc.

I consider 3-4 to be pre-school age. That doesn't mean I think they need to be in pre-school, though.

I homeschool my three but still call them pre-schoolers because I don't consider them "toddlers" either.

Re: What age do you consider "pre-school age"?
With both dd's they started twice a week 1/2 day pre-school at age 3
My oldest is on her third year of it because she has a September b-day and we decided to hold her back this year (technically its called pre-k but its at a private pre-school-three half days). My other dd will go again this fall for 4 yr pre-school and since she has a summer b-day will go to kindergarten at 5.

Re: What age do you consider "pre-school age"?
I think infants are birth-1, toddlers are 1-2 & preschoolers are 3-4. At 3 kids seem able to grasp school-like concepts better such as simple math and beginning reading, so that's why I classify them as preschoolers.
