Ground Beef & Mushroom Carbonara ( very easy and tasty)

12 oz speghetti
4 slices of bacon (I used a little more)
1/2 lean (80% or less) ground beef
1 package( 8oz) of sliced fresh mushrooms
1/4 of chopped onion (optional)
4 garlic cloves ( i only used 2 cloves)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup of whipping cream
3 eggs - beaten
1 cup parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons of fresh chopped parsley ( optional)

Cook speghetti, drain rinse and place back in the pot - cover to keep warm. next cook bacon and then crumble it. with the same skillet the bacon was cooked in cook beef, mushrooms, onion, garlic, salt, pepper until ground beef is brown and the shrooms are cooked then drain. place to the side

Pour whipping cream over speghetti and cook on med high for 1-2 minutes stirring constantly till hot.

add beef mixture, bacon and eggs to speghetti mixture. reduce heat till medium. cook 2-3 minutes tossing mixture constantly until spaghetti is well coated. stir in cheese. garnish with parsley.

makes up to 4 - 5 servings

Sounds tasty...thanks for sharing. I HATE mushrooms but DH loves 'em so I think that I will surprise him with this for supper.

I will have to try this. I have never heard of this kind of use for whipping cream...... interesting.

Sounds good and it has noodles so the kids will love it! Anything with noodles is an instant hit in this house!
