Talk to me about inserts!

First, a minirave for the bg! - I totally didn't realize the girl was in it for more than 8 hours until dh reminded me this morning. She was barely wet, albeit stinky. I had a stuffy nose, so I couldn't tell.

We have been using the CB OS inserts that came with the bg!s we have, plus some Jamtots small hemp doublers for overnight, but lately I've been finding that the CB inserts are getting a little thin. The sad consumer in me tells me I need to find more at some point (not this month, though), so:

What inserts/doublers do you use?
How many in the pocket?
How long do they generally last? (whether your dc outgrew them or they wore out)
Is the CB insert sock worth it?

Using the PFs we have is kinda out of the question, since DH likes to go for them first, so I keep them out handy.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts!

"Daddy Diapers"? What are those? If he can't figure it out, we're using the wrong ones.

Re: Talk to me about inserts!

You might be able to just add a hemp doubler to get a bit more absorbancy, but for larger size diapers, I really like Hemp Babies Bigger Weeds for nighttime in a pocket. They are bulky, but so absorbant! The ones I'm using are about a year old and still going strong. (Washed a few times a week.)

I don't personally use the insert socks, but I have heard from several customers that like to pre stuff them, and have them handy for changes, just to make things easier.
