Anyone have a Gluten Free bread recipe?

I'd be making in the oven as I don't have a bread maker. Would love suggestions!

TIA!

Re: Anyone have a Gluten Free bread recipe?

I discovered my gluten intolerance last Spring...and have pretty much given up on bread, though for Christmas, I got the Almond Four Cookbook. DH & I both do really well with almond flour (he's intolerant to rice flours and some of the other alternatives). Anyway, I'm going to try the bread in that cookbook, but can't post the recipe because of copy right, etc. You should check out the book- it's wonderful!

Re: Anyone have a Gluten Free bread recipe?

The one I use is the "Seattle Sourdough" recipe from Bette Hagman's Gluten Free Gourmet Bread book. I omit the dried lemon, and it tastes nothing like sourdough. But I think using the sourdough starter makes all the difference in how the bread rises. I use the "large" recipe and make a good sized loaf of bread and 4 hamburger buns.

It's long, so I'm not up to copying it, but I highly recommend picking up the book (some library's have it, too).

I second that. I have tweaked her bread recipes a bit, but you'll get a good loaf if you follow them. I use Featherlight Rice Bread, Millet Bread, Sorghum Bread recipes the most.

I love the bread recipes from The Complete Gluten Free Cookbook. They are all fantastic, my boys love the applesauce apple oatmeal bread (I've made two loaves this week!).
