What could be causing me this annoying pain?

I have been having pain that starts in my lower left back and radiates to the front lower abdomen. Sometimes it's really sharp. Other times just dull. It is frequent. I went to the OB today and they did a u/s and everything looks great.Heartbeat is 167 and measuring right on target at 7wks 6days. They didn't find what it could be at the office.

I had pain in my right hip area when I was pg and it got worse the further along I got. I still don't know what it was but it went away after I delivered. I'll be watching the thread to see what other's think

I would say round ligament pain as well. Those muscles are so tight and when the uterus stretches so do they! It can really hurt! Hope it gets better soon.

I'd say round ligament pain, although it may be a little early for that. I had some pain in my abdomen early on and thought I had a tubal pg. It was near my ovary on one side kind of radiating to my back. My ob said sometimes your ovaries can have torsion - twist a little and cause pain during early pg. I'd never heard of that, but that pain did go away after a week or so and never came back, although I did have round ligament pain all through the pg when turning in bed.

Re: What could be causing me this annoying pain?

I had the same type of pain really early in my pregnancy and it has continued on up to now--I'm at 27 weeks now and everything is fine. In the beginning, the pains were very sharp and would knock the wind out of me. I remember one day in particular very early on when I had to lean against my car until it went away because I could not even move. Since, I have had the same types of pains in my side, up high under my arm, and in my abdomen. My MW said these are just growing/stretching pains. This is my first baby. It was definitely scarry at first. Now the pains are much more dull, and feel like menstrual cramps except they come and go quickly instead of lingering for days. I am so used to them now that when ever one comes on, I tell DH that baby is growing again!

Well, now they aren't as bad as they were so that's good I suppose. The doc seemed to think the same as you ladies.
