Re: Tilapia
I drizzle with a little olive oil, squeeze some lemon on it. Sprinkle with pepper, dried minced garlic, and grate some Parmeson cheese. Then I bake at 400 for about 10-15 min.

Re: Tilapia
Creole seasoning is also a good choice but a lot of it has a high amount of sugar (not low carb) or salt (high sodium). So make sure that you read the ingredient list first but there should be a choice out there for you.
Another family favorite here is to the use the Simply Organic fish taco seasoning and cook the fish. You could marinate your fish and bake it rather than cutting it and eating it as a taco. With a little lime this is awesome!!! I don't eat tilapia anymore by my family still does and this is one of their favorite ways to have the fish. |

Re: Tilapia
I put mine in parchment paper (fold into a packet) with some veggies (asparagus is particularly good!) and lemon, plus season the fish with whatever herbs I've got on hand (usually ends up being oregano, basil, and just a little cayenne). Then bake for like 15 minutes at 375. It's good!

Re: Tilapia
I usually pan-fry mine. I dredge it in seasoned flour (salt, pepper, paprika, garlic, onion) and then just pan fry for a few minutes in a little olive oil. The flour makes a nice crust. Don't know if that's allowed in the low-carb diet, but if so, give it a try. I bet you could also use cornstarch.
I really like to top this with some herbed butter or homemade lemon butter after it's done. The butter melts onto/into the fish and it's just yummy. |

Re: Tilapia
I like to just sprinkle lemon pepper on both sides and then sautee in a pan using cooking spray. Just heat your pan over medium heat and spray it (I use the butter flavor spray) and let it cook for a few minutes on each side. Really quick (takes about 6-10 minutes) and easy and yummy!
