Catholic mamas... are you doing anything for lent?
I have decided that I am going to try to do more "teaching" to my son, even though I feel like I still need to be taught, for lent.
I made a paper rosary and I am working with him with little marshmallows and other things to get him to sit through one mystery of the rosary. I also have the book "Guiding your Catholic Preschooler" and I would like to use some of the ideas in that for lent. Anyone else doing anything?

Re: Catholic mamas... are you doing anything for lent?
Having grown up Catholic and mostly forced to sit through all those things I am taking a very laid back approach to my daughter and my faith. She attends a Catholic school, and I will talk to her about things when she shows an interest. We talk about why we don't eat meat on Fridays and we talk about Easter and such, but I think the concepts of Lent are too hard for a child to grasp.
I think that I was in the 7th grade (right before Confirmation) when I really started to think about my faith and why we believe what we believe. |
