Swimming?

What do you all use for swimming? My little lady will be 1 in June, and I'm looking for swimsuits. There are so many cute one-piece suits, but I'm wondering if I'll just want to use a tank style top with a diaper/cover. And what kind of diaper works best in the water?

For swimming I use a one piece & the shirt and shorts style. I use the diaper covers that I make. www.diaperkoozie.etsy.com I put on a size smaller than what she normally wears & it works great.

Re: Swimming?

Our faves are the Imse Vimse swim dipes. They have snaps on one side so its easy to get them off when wet. We also usually do 2 piece suits b/c it makes pottying easier (DD is PLed).

And no, nothing to hold the pee, but the pool we go to requires reusable swim dipes for kids under 4.

Re: Swimming?

I got DD some iPlay swim diapers last summer. They have matching tanks for them, too. Super cute! She did have one poopy in the water, and it contained everything. I got mine from here:
http://www.myswimbaby.com/catalog.php?category=16

It's the same owner as Nicki's Diapers--great customer service and fast shipping. There are lots of designs/colors available, too. I'll be ordering her some for this summer, too!

Re: Swimming?

We use the iplay swim suits/diapers. They are great and super cute. They have a lot with matching sunhats, too. Anyways, when she was tiny, we bought a one-piece, but then bought some tankinis which work a LOT more easily (to get on/off). I also have a super cute "rash guard" and shorts that I think are iplay, too. I like to have more coverage for her if it's not late afternoon. She's only pooped in the swimdipes once and it was well contained.

Re: Swimming?

The Imse Vimse are super trim and go under any swim suit or you can order matching tops. The point of a swim diaper is to catch poop so no absorption. Even the sposie kind don't hold in pee. My friend uses an used diaper cover she got FFS.
