When do size Regular pf's fit?

I bought 24 regular indian pf's and two flip covers from cottonbabies for ds the other day and lo and behold it looks like he's pling now.

I'm pregnant, would you just hang on to them or maybe exchange the size regular for infants? What age would you say that regulars started fitting your baby?

For my kids I used yellow edge from birth until 3m then regulars from 3m to 6m. My son needed premiums after that since he could soak the regular in one pee. My dd is almost 5m right now and is in regulars and will be moving to premiums soon.

My DS fit into premiums at 3 months and outgrew them at 5 months! That being said, he's a BIG little guy. Premiums are supposed to fit from 15-30 pounds. If you are a SAHM, I say keep them for the next baby, if not exchange them for infants. I work, so I only use PFs during maternity leave and opt for the infant size.. then we move into fitteds.

Regular (premium) sized prefolds did not start fitting my DD until she was about 16lbs. She is a peanut, so she was about a year old when we switched to them. I still have to fold down the rise on them & she is about 30in tall.

My LO just outgrew the infant size at 5 months and 13lbs. The length is still perfect for him, but the waist is literally, *just* too small. We also have some regular size prefolds that he's been able to wear for awhile now. All you have to do is fold down the back to the length you need and then use/fold like normal. They may be a bit bulkier than normal but they'll work fine!

If anything, you can always use them as burp clothes until they fit. But don't get rid of them!

Thanks mamas, I'll just prep them and set them aside then.

I think regulars are nicer for trifolding, they are thinner- and they will make great changing pads too! But this is coming from someone who has almost every size of prefold out there, just can't get rid of them!
