Meatloaf please!

Meatloaf is my one of my fave meals. But I don't have a great recipe so usually just buy it at the store deli, which is few and far between.

What's your great recipe?

Re: Meatloaf please!

1 pound ground Beef or Ground Turkey
1 package of Stove Top Stuffing Mix
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1 egg

Mix all together and put into a loaf pan. You can add extra spices if you like. Or more egg or BBQ sauce if you use a more meat. Cook at 350 for about 45min-1hour or until the center of the loaf is cooked through. I usually add another couple Tbps of BBQ sauce to the top of the loaf for the last 10 minutes of cooking.

Re: Meatloaf please!

At this point I don't know the exact measurements, I just sort of eyeball it. Don't let the oatmeal scare you off.

1 pound ground beef
2 tbsp chopped onion
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 egg white
1/4 cup ketchup (or you can sub bbq sauce)
1/3 cup dry oatmeal

1/4 cup ketchup (or sub bbq sauce again)
2 tbsp brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350. Combine first 7 ingredients in a bowl until well mixed. Place into a shallow baking pan and shape. Bake in preheated oven for 40 min. Combine ketchup and brown sugar. Pour over meatloaf. Bake an additional 10 to 15 min.

Yumm... might have to put this on the menu again for this coming week!

Wow! We pretty much use the same recipe- I just eyeball also, but all the components are about the same.

I use this, except I use crackers instead of stuffing mix, and I add ketchup.

Re: Meatloaf please!

We usually just eyeball it, so the mesurements aren't exact.

1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1 c italian bread crumbs (enough for it to be a firm loaf even after soup is added)
1 can of golden mushroom soup
salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste

Mix meat with egg, crumbs and seasonings. Add about a half can of the golden mushroom soup and mix well. Put in loaf pan and bake at 450 for about an hour. About 10 minutes before it's done, add about 1/4 can of soup to top of meatloaf. Heat the rest of the can with some water in a small saucepan on the stove to use as gravy.

It's absolutely amazing, and even people who HATE mushrooms love it. Just don't explicitly tell them it has mushrooms...

Re: Meatloaf please!

Im 29 and I never liked meatloaf until I got the stovetop recipe. I use half a package of stove top, 1 pound hamburgar, and one egg. I like easy and good, and this works out perfect.
