best hemp insert

? I'm in the market. I sold 6 Babykicks Hemparoo premiums when I "gave up" cloth not too long ago and don't I wish I had kept them. Are the ones that aren't premium just as good? I can't really tell the difference by the item descriptions. Any other hemp inserts just as good and maybe costs less? Or are the Babykicks really the best? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE !!

Re: best hemp insert

Happy Heinys hemp stuffins are contoured and made from hemp fleece

Swaddlebees hemp inserts are a good deal too - 5 layers of hemp fleece for $5.95 at nicki's and they are a quick dry insert too not all sewn together.

Re: best hemp insert

HA HA *HA* you work for Nicki's Diapers??? What a coincidence I'm about to drop some $ there lol

what do y'all think of the Thirsties hemp inserts ??????? (as opposed to Joeybunz)

and am I reading this right in that the NON-premium Joeybunz have better (6 layers) absorbency but just take longer to dry ??

Re: best hemp insert

okay I just read what you said again. Cotton jersey versus cotton fleece. So the premium ones would have better absorbency then? (cause fleece is better?). I just wanna know are they worth the $ (the premium ones)

Yup, I work for Nicki's - in the Madison store Yes, 4 total layers hemp fleece vs 6 layers of hemp jersey. They are the same thickness as the regular ones so I'm not sure there is a big difference absorbency-wise.

Thirsties are a little smaller - they only come in 2 sizes, small (5"x12") and large (5.5"x14" prewashed dimensions). The joey bunz are 13.5, 15.25 and 17.7" long for S, M, L respectively so it depends on what size you need and. If you are looking for a medium size the Thirsties large may work nicely.

Hope that helps

I have and use both. I prefer the premium for washing, drying, and absorbency. BUT, the regular JoeyBunz work well also. I went almost a year w/the regular ones w/out issue and still love them.

Re: best hemp insert

I love my Joey bunz regulars. I use a size large in a size small FB and it fits perfect from end to end and side to side without any folding over, and is still super trim! That, or in a BG is our skinny "going out" dipe. So I really suggest getting larges if you use sized FB, for more coverage = more to absorb and can use longer since they wont be outgrown, you save $ not having to replace. As far as drying, to give you an idea, I put mine to dry with my fitteds and their double layer inserts, and they don't take any longer to dry. You do however need to stretch / re-shape them a bit before you throw them in the dryer or they might get a little bunched up. They are great!
