Re: Pacifiers? Bottles? Help, please.

My son likes the cheap Playtex ones (got at the commissary) - tried the Tommiee T. ones and he doesn't like them but I got the big size so that may be the issue... tried several other brands - so child specific so try a few and pass on what you can't use, which is what I had to do.

We had luck with all three kids on nuks and the oldest two with Avent bottles (the youngest has never been given a bottle but I suspect Avent would have worked for him also). That being said, like pp posts, every kid is different.

Oh gosh, we have tried EVERY single pacifier on the market [ even gumdrop pacis ordered online ] and DD hasn't taken to a single one. It was very frustrating in those first several weeks when all she wanted to do was comfort nurse, but now that she's 3 months she's improved so much in that area.

We don't use bottles that often, but she has finally taken to Avent. Both my kids preferred Avent over other bottle brands.

Re: Pacifiers? Bottles? Help, please.

We used Avent bottles and MAM pacifiers with DD. I've got the same thing ready for #2 but will be trying to breastfeed and hoping that I only need to use bottles for pumped milk or the occasional supplement (thanks to my reduction I have NO idea how breastfeeding is going to go).
