Re: Crocs for Toddlers?

Love them! They are easy for them to put on by themselves, easy to clean, cover their toes unlike regular sandals, and they're pretty durable to boot.

Thanks for all the ideas mamas. I think we are going to try a pair and see how they do. Now I just have to find the FSOT listing that had the used pair in the right size. I should have marked it I guess

Re: Crocs for Toddlers?

I personally refuse to buy any for DD nor will I allow her to wear the hand-me-downs from her cousins. My nieces wear them all.the.time! Sometimes I wonder if they own any other shoes! I think it is disgusting at how nasty their feet are when they take them off at night! JMO DD needs more support than these shoes provide (we're wearing the white hard-soled walking shoes right now). I know I am in the minority but I just do not like Crocs.

I agree with PP.
I DO NOT LIKE CORCS they are unsafe IMO. I bought several pairs when they were first out as many of my colleagues where wearing them at work ( I'm a Nurse) and Crocs have now been banned from most hospitals becasue of tripped hazards.

That being said if I could only choose crocs or flip flops as summer shoes for a toddler I would choose crocs. at least they have some support, a back strap and covered toes.

No, I think they are dangerous for LO's & I do not like them even for older kids. I don't feel like they are good for the feet. It is actually really bad for anyone to wear a heel so thick. I think something snug on the foot is best.
I prefer real shoes or sandals on my kids. I allow flip flops for the pool. I wear flip flops all summer, but they have arch support.

They are also the best toilet training shoe - don't have to wash shoes in an accident

Re: Crocs for Toddlers?

My kids wear them in the yard where they'd otherwise be barefoot. And, if we're going to the grocery store or something like that. They aren't allowed to wear them to the playground or on a bike, etc.

Re: Crocs for Toddlers?

Kind of a funny read....
we love crocs, they do not stay on and my kids trip when they run, but it is the best shoe for toddlers, if they don't run....
Now I am more confused.
