Re: Am I the only one who is not in LOVE with their Britax marathon

We noticed a slight difference (improvement) with our Marathon on the tighting aspect when we switched over to forward facing with my MIL was here. We might still go back to rear facing because we are only 25 pounds, but it is a difference in where the straps need to be, below the shoulders or above, and actually DD looks more comfortable the way the straps are now as they were before, because she looked so hunkered down with the straps being under her shoulders. It also made a difference in how well the thing tightened.

Yep, the HUGS must be used FF because of head excursion. The Marathon and it's counterparts are big and heavy. The HUGS reduce the forward head movement in a crash (head excursion). I never had/have a problem with the HUGS. I did take the comfort pads off tho. They totally got in my way. I've never used them, not sure if I even still have them.

Here's Zane in his Wizard (pre-Boulevard) just before 3 months. I know that has nothing to do with the OP, but might help others.
