Diaper Swappers

Title says it all:
My ds says: HA (hat)
BA (ball)
NA (Nana)

Umm.... yeah that's pretty much it. Just seems like my other kids said more so I'm wondering how many words your lo's say?

My twins are 15 months, but only 13 adjusted age so I think I can answer this one!

B uses about 15 words/modified words on a regular basis. mama, dada, buba,sissy/siser,bah (ball), bi (bite), bye-bye, hi, car, uh-oh, moh (more),two,thee (three), no, up, car. He has said closer to 50 different thing, and gets in moods where he will repeat anything. I definitely consider him "advanced" with his language skills.

A has about 5 regular words, and she doesn't use them a ton. mama, dada, and buba are common, and when she's in the mood she'll say yum-yum, up, ba (bath) and a few others. She does babble a lot which is "important" so I'm not worried at all.

They really are night and day with just about everything. It's taught me a great lesson in not comparing, expecting milestones/grown to follow a chart, etc. Your LO sounds like he's just perfect.

My 14 month old only has 2 clear words "cookie" which sound more like dootie, and kitty cat which sounds like kit kat. He has a bunch of sounds and has randomly said a few things clear as day but mostly its just different one syllable sounds.
I asked my dr about it because he has had so many ear infections I thought maybe he was having hearing issues (like maybe everything is muffled because of the fluid) but he says that because he has excelled so quickly cognitively and with his motor skills its not not something I should be worried about. If he's using different sounds and picth to identify different things then that counts as language. Language and communication are what's important at this age vs words. As long as he is trying to communicate with you and babbling on have no worries.

my 13mold doesn't do more than babble still

We currently have a 12 month old, he babbles all the time but no specific words. His brother also did not use words for a long time. Then he would say a few words. Right around 2 years, his language exploded. #1 had many words at 13 months.

It seems that my DS does alot of the talking for her brothers.

Every child is truly different.

My DD turned 13 months Feb 22 and her words aren't clear & distinct yet.

She says "brr" for bird, ssttthh for fish, ma, da, she clucks her tongue for clock (so cute), ba for bottle and bye. That's about all.

DS2 didn't say anything besides Dada until he was two, or a tad later.

Oh and the little boy I used to babysit, I had him from 6 weeks until 17 months and when he left here he wasn't saying anything.
