When I was new here, I spent a lot of time reading the Transaction and Feedback section. I highly recommend it. You will see where some of the rules stem from.

Why, then, does the board make it so difficult for members to communicate at first? I understand "they" don't want spammers and other nuisance posters to innundate members with garbage posts.

But good grief, I couldn't even RESPOND to the PM that another member sent me.

And none of my thoughtful responses to other threads are counting toward my post count, either.

Seems to me like the board is misguidedly causing people to create unnecessary posts such as this one. What if I just don't have anything important enough to post about and am only interested in responding or communicating via PM to arrange for trading?
You were already helped in your other thread asking about the rules Here If you need any help After reading the Forum Rules and FAQ sections, feel free to pm a mod or admin.

The Transaction and Feedback area is a great place to start, there is a reason we run this board the way we do.

No, I think it's 5 - I believe you have to have 50 in order to have a siggy. But, I'm a newbie, too, so I could be wrong....

Re: Anyone else comfused about posting requirements?

I think most people on here feel much more comfortable buying, selling, and trading with established members here. So making the time to get to know the board, read up on how things work, and comment here and there where you are interested (there's many forums) will go a long way to helping with that.

Jumping in with the "I don't want to talk to you all, I just want to buy/sell to you" attitude isn't going to endear you to anyone. Maybe you aren't aware of how this comes off? This isn't exactly ebay, which seems to be more business, less chat.

Hopefully you'll fly past the obligitory posts and settle in!
