projects to do with 1.5 year old...

I had my first two 4 years apart....I remember doing a lot more with my first, but i just can't remember what. I'm here all day with my youngest girls, and i don't know what to do with them...the 1.5 year old is into EVERYTHING....and eats random things like erasers, so i'm not sure painting or anything is such a good idea...Any other ideas mamas?

If you have more of an energetic kid, anything outside works wonders. Whatever keeps them active and wears them out. My older would sit down and do crayons, etc at that age but there are plenty of kids that are just not ready for that yet. If you can't get outside yet, you might consider a small climber/slide for indoors, push toys, ball pit.

what about making goup? the cornstarch and water mixture. what about flash cards, baby sign language, or a "your baby can read" program.

What about sidewalk chalk?
My 13 mo old has figured out it's fun to scribble on our driveway with rocks so we're going to get her sidewalk chalk this weekend.

Re: projects to do with 1.5 year old...

We bought a ball pit for our twins. Best gift EVER! They play in it all. day. long! Their NICU follow-up specialist wanted us to work on sensory-type activities with them and suggested the ball pit. She also wants us to work on different textures and things like that. Like fill a bag with beans, one with sand, one with play-doh, etc. I haven't tried it yet, but supposedly it's great for all toddlers, not just those with special needs.
