Baby shower etiquette

If I knew how to do a poll I would lol just a quick question, my coworkers are doing a joint baby shower/ tie dye party for me and 4 other nurses in the department. Would it be ok to bring my 9yr old daughter?

Re: Baby shower etiquette

I brought my daughter to showers when she was little (back when I was a single mom).

I think age 9 should be ok if you think you could use her help and that she would like going.

Re: Baby shower etiquette

Is it during work hours? My work showers were during lunch and I wouldn't have brought other children to it. If it's after hours at a different location i wouldn't hesitate to bring a 9yr old :-)

Re: Baby shower etiquette

I take my 6 yo and most of my family/friends bring all of their kids as well. I see no issue with it.

I would bring my kids if I wanted to and don't see why that would be a problem.

Yes unless it's during work hours then I'd just leave her in child care.

Same answer as all the other posters. During work, no I wouldn't. After work hours, yes I would.

Have fun.

Re: Baby shower etiquette

OK, I have to ask. What would a joint baby shower/tie dye party be? Are you dying t-shirts at the baby shower? That seems like an odd combination to me. Am I missing something?
