Newborn Picture Quality Diaper ??????

I'm having a photographer come to the house for a newborn photo shoot

(yes it took me having my 3rd child to finally figure out that this is very important to me & I wish I had done it for the boys!!!)

Does anybody have any recommendations for the super cutest (or simply luxurious) cloth diaper that would look good in a picture?? something girly maybe?

oh...and by the way. I don't have much time. baby was due today and I have no idea about how any of the custom diaper ordering works, how long it takes, who makes fancy pants, etc.. yeah, I just thought of this idea.

Thanks mamas!!

This probably isn't the answer you are looking for, but I think babies look adorable in PINNED PREFOLDS with no cover - very classic look.

Yes, I like pinned prefolds too in pictures. Very classic. But I also like BerryPlush and they look soooooo soft and fluffy, especially right at first! Otherwise I'd look for something ultra-girly!

Well we had a photographer come to the house to take pics of DS and he wore his Mother Earth Berry Plush.

In one shot she did him as Tarzan sitting there with a monnkey in between his legs and a scarflike thing around his neck that was leopard fake fur.

It looked AMAZING with our diaper! TDF!

I definately think a Berry Plush would be the luscious glorious special diaper way to go.

I was going to say a clean, basic white prefold too, since your DC is the focal point! What if you spend lots of money on ONE diaper and s/he immediately poos in it? YIKES!

I know my DD poos within 5 minutes of putting on a new pricey dipe EVERY TIME!!! I like the idea of a classic prefold...no bulk to make baby look odd and baby is still the focus. GL!!!

A friend of mind had her daughter in a peach Kissaluv. It was perfect. A cute tiny diaper with very little frill - so simple.

Good luck.

Personally, I love the bare baby bum showing!

I agree that you should also go for simple for the newborn pic; you want the baby to be the focus, kwim? So if not a prefold, a simple, one color fitted would be beautiful. Of course, I may be biased, b/c that is exactly what I did. This is my DS at 5 weeks old in a SB cotton terry periwinkle dipe:

The beauty of doing something like that is that you don't need to worry about wait time. In fact, I actually waited until the day before to get mine b/c I was stupid. It just didn't occur to me to have a special dipe (my original stash was just PFs and covers, and I didn't know how to snappi or pin), so I found the ONE store in my city that sells CDs and drove almost an hour to pick it up. But since you have slightly more time, you could easily order a SB or KL0 or some other simple, classic fitted and have it get to your house in time.
